It is usual to run away from loneliness. We are social beings, we work well in groups. By going to the most primitive moment of the human being, we can trace when they started to create organized societies, interaction and exchange systems, towns and cities. Humans were animals that lived in herds, some had the function of hunting, others to care. Later, to build, to create, to raise, as well as other species of animals that worked in groups. There are species that are better living solitary, this is inscribed in their DNA and their evolution has led to this.

Our evolution has led us to live in increasingly larger and more complex herds where there are so many individuals that do not know each other among them. In this expansion and accumulation of human beings it is very easy for some to isolate themselves and end up being alone within the same society. When the human psychology detects loneliness tends to enter into states of anxiety or depression. However, in daily life, one sometimes needs to get out of the routine and go into moments of meditation and mental silence.

"Oasis" portrays people in small moments of solitude where they get out of their routine, forget that they must escape from solitude and embrace it by going into momentary peace with themselves. The faces of the portrayed are not seen, as if they were introspected into an inner oasis.

Es usual huir de la soledad. Somos seres sociables, funcionamos bien en grupos. Al irnos al momento más primitivo del humano, se puede rastrear cuando se comenzaron a crear las sociedades organizadas, los sistemas de interacción e intercambio, los pueblos y las ciudades. Los humanos eran animales que andaban en manada, unos tenían la función de cazar, otros de cuidar. Más adelante, de construir, de crear, de criar, así como otras especies de animales que funcionan en grupo. Hay especies que les va mejor solitarios, esto está inscrito en su ADN y su evolución los ha llevado a esto.

Nuestra evolución nos ha llevado a vivir en manadas cada vez más grandes y complejas donde hay tantos individuos que no se conocen todos entre ellos. En esta expansión y acumulación de seres humanos es muy fácil que algunos se aíslen y terminen por estar solos dentro de la misma sociedad. Cuando la psicología del humano detecta la soledad tiende a entrar en estados de ansiedad o depresión. Sin embargo en el diario vivir se necesita a veces salir de la rutina y entrar en momentos de meditación y de silencio mental.

“Oasis” retrata personas en pequeños momentos de soledad donde se salen de su rutina, se olvidan de que deben escapar de la soledad y la abrazan entrando en paz momentánea consigo mismos. A los retratados no se les ve el rostro, como introspectos en un oasis interior.
